Ravencrest Chalet offers a year of study and service opportunities to a limited number of students who have completed one year of studies at a Torchbearer school. Ravencrest’s goal for the Leadership Training Course (LTC) is best captured in Ephesians 4:14-15:
"As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves, and carried about by every wind of doctrine .... but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ."
As an extension and application of the first year of study, LTC is committed to developing practical leadership principles in every area of the Christian life.
From personal devotional life and living in community with others to principles of ministry and work, the student will be challenged to take initiative not only in knowing the Word of Life but also in Living the Life of the Word.
Leadership Training Course students will assist the Ravencrest Staff by working with the first-year students to make their program as meaningful as possible. Fewer hours will be spent in the classroom; however, the study environment will be more challenging as personal research and preparation will be required as they exercise leadership roles amongst their fellow students.
The classroom format for the Leadership Training Course will involve lectures from resident teachers, visiting lecturers,
local pastors, special guests and ministry workers as well as video and audio presentations.
