If you have a chance to hear Bonnie Thomas teach, take it. She is a gifted communicator, authentic and transparent. If you have a chance to visit the Mountains, take it. I hiked, kayaked, and biked. The total experience was refreshing and restorative. I personally feel closer to God when I am at Ravencrest Chalet. The staff, the teaching, and the friendships allows me to feel accepted in spite of faults and loved in spite of shortcomings.
Participating in the New Year’s Retreat is an invaluable time of personal reflection, fellowship and renewal. My professional life can be left behind and for the days of retreat my focus can be solely on Christ. What better way could there be to welcome a new year than to be mindful of all HE wants to accomplish in and through our available lives! Come join us in 2010-11!
I have been going to Ravencrest’s Men’s Retreat for the last 10 years and each year I come back refreshed, renewed, and challenged with how God wants me to relate with Him and His people. There are many things I look forward to on this weekend retreat: The friendships renewed after a year apart, the camaraderie with other men of like mind who just want to get closer to God, the good worship times, endless ping pong, the incredible teaching, and, finally, the first-class food Ravencrest prepares for us.
The beautiful view of Lake Estes and the Rocky Mountains I get each morning from the library balcony is a wonderful time to quietly reflect on the wonderful God who loves me.
I look forward to the day when my son is old enough to enjoy these times with me and we can grow in Christ together!
The Bible Study Week at Ravencrest refreshes my body, soul and spirit. The Christ-centered and practical Bible studies, shared with caring friends whose hearts seek the Lord in the majestic Rocky Mountain setting are a true taste of heaven!
